Expectant Mothers get expertise tips on pregnancy at LifeCell’s Antenatal Workshop in Chennai
Chennai, February 13, 2010: LifeCell International Pvt. Ltd., the

in India, organized a one day antenatal workshop for expectant mothers
in Chennai today at the Taj Mount Road Hotel. The workshop was conducted
by
Ms. Rekha Sudarsan, Psychologist, Childbirth educator and
lactation consultant and saw participation from many excited parents.
This workshop was designed to both enlighten and empower the moms to be
throughout the process of labour and birth. This will help them to gain
confidence in their own body and the ability to give birth with ease.
Overall the workshop was educative and the participants were given
plenty of tips and advice so that the moms to be can relax and look
forward to the amazing journey of labour, birth and beyond.
The workshop also focused around the birth process offering information
for the to-be parents by explaining on what happens and what to expect
during each of the pregnancy stages. The session was a forum for
expecting parents to discuss upon the various tips which would help
would-be mothers face the physical, psychological and hormonal changes
related with pregnancy and handle this turbulent phase effectively. The
participants were also given insights on the basic tips on diet and
nutrition, relaxation techniques, pre -natal and-post natal exercises
necessary for a safe and uncomplicated pregnancy.
The specialist also demonstrated complicated ‘pelvic exercises’ for
muscle relaxation. The attendees were also told about the significance
and benefits of cord blood stem cell banking.
