Insertion and Removal Process
Inserting Hygina:
After washing your hands, rinse the Hygina menstrual cup with warm water and simply fold it by pressing the sides of the lightweight flexible cup together, as shown in Fig
Then, fold the cup in half again, as shown in Fig
Now, hold the folded Hygina menstrual cup between your thumb and index finger, as shown in Fig
To insert the Hygina menstrual cup, sit on the toilet (or in an equally relaxed position) and insert the folded menstrual cup completely into the vagina. Let the cup unfold by releasing your fingers.
After inserting, rotate it with your fingertips, pulling it down and forward into position at your vaginal opening. Gently pull on the stem and you should feel that your menstrual cup is firmly in place.
As you can see in Fig. 3, Hygina menstrual cup follows the natural slant of your vagina. It does not touch the cervix but rests comfortably below it. Be sure the stem is at the entrance of the vagina.
Removing Hygina:
Sit on the toilet and grasp the stem of Hygina firmly so that the tips of your fingers pinch the base of the cup. This action allows air to enter around the cup, releasing the suction and making it easy to remove.
Ease your menstrual cup gently forward and downward, supporting the bottom of the cup with your fingertips to prevent spilling.
"
Please note:
If The Hygina is uncomfortable or leaking, then it is not positioned properly. In order to get the best results it is very important to insert it correctly."
