Expectant Mothers in Hyderabad get specialist tips on pregnancy at LifeCell’s Antenatal Workshop (Hyderabad, 19 July, 2009)

LifeCell International Pvt. Ltd., the pioneers in umbilical cord blood stem cell banking, research & therapy in India, in association with Gymboree Play & Music organised a free one day Antenatal Workshop for expectant mothers in Hyderabad today at Gymboree. The session was conducted by Ms. Sonali Shivlani, a certified and trained Antenatal specialist from Mumbai. Ms. Sonali is an expert in this field and has attended a good number of parents-to-be.

The workshop provided an insight to the expectant mothers on the effective way to have a safe and enjoyable pregnancy. Various sessions were conducted on labour preparation, delivery, and diet to be taken during pregnancy. Both the first time and second time mothers found the workshop beneficial as they learnt techniques of relaxation, exercises and massaging skills to stay healthy during pregnancy and even after delivery. The attendees were also intimated regarding the importance and benefits of stem cell banking.

Books on pregnancy and friends or relatives with an experience of pregnancy are the immediate resort for help. Our free antenatal workshop seeks to bridge this gap between a friend and a specialist and provide counsel that is accessible to all. This antenatal class also provided insights into post natal activities such as breast feeding and infancy management. Moreover the classes also equipped mothers with skills and instilled confidence in them to make giving birth a positive experience.
